You are a country where equality is provided to all. Yet, why is gender equality neglected? Why do our women have to stay at home within closed walls? Why do they have to face abuses, molestation, rapes
and acid attacks?
Don’t we call you Bharat Mata? Then why should your women be oppressed?.
I have music in my iTunes that is definitely not honoring god, and definitely would disrespect women. One of my favorite bands is Blink-182. If you know anything about music, then you know that Blink-182 has one of the greatest drummers of all time, Travis Barker. His drumming drew me to the band and after I heard the song “Not Now” by them, I knew that they were great. Their lyrics aren’t honoring women though. A lot of their lyrics have to do with sex and treating women as objects. Although the music they make sounds good, the message behind the lyric could be much better.
Some music can give people a better view of women, like the music of Relient K or Skillet, other music, like that of Blink-182, can give you a bad view.
To finish my topic of media’s view towards women, I will analyze Transformers Two: Revenge of the Fallen. In this second movie in the very popular movie series Transformers, Sam Witwiki (Shia LeBeouf) and Mikaela Banes (Megan Fox) are on a mission to find the Matrix to save Optimus Prime and the world. In the first scene of the movie, there is a close up of Megan Fox, on a working on a motorcycle in an auto shop. She is wearing low cut shorts and a very small shirt cutting off above her stomach. After seeing the movie with a couple of friends in the theatres when it came out, this was the scene they talked about for a long time. They kept saying how hot she was. They said they probably wouldn’t have seen the movie if it hadn’t been for her role.
There were some good views towards respecting women in this movie also. A lot of the story line was about Sam and Mikaela falling in love. Sam treats Mikaela with the utmost respect throughout the movie (except when he cheated on her, but that’s a different topic).
Overall, the media has told a man, in this society, treating women with disrespect is the cool or easy thing to do. I am lucky to have been raised in a family where we are taught to respect women.
It is important to respect WOMAN because she has the power to take a civilization to tremenduous heights or bring utter destruction and nihillation - by the quality of children she bears, by the quality of her motherhood.
We have heard that dictum . BEHIND EVERY GREAT MAN, THERE IS A WOMAN SMILING. This simply means that when the person concerned (THE GREAT MAN) was walking the path which led him to the present greatness; there were many a pitfalls where he became hopeless and dejected. It was the smile of this woman, which encouraged him to keep the journey on.
Ask any great man, "WHO WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS SUCCESS?" The answer is invariably the same ."MY MOTHER !!!!!"
.
One day we will definitely improve health sector , education sector but at the cost of women being harassed, tortured .
Women’s are the creators let’s treat them with respect . She also thinks of a A good salary? The freedom to marry who she wants? More access to empowering information? Or a
fiery ambition to make something out of herself? It’s a simple question . Respect is all what is
needed .
India has one of the worst gender imbalanced countries in the world.
Let’s respect them treat them equally and smash the patriarchy together and
When actually women’s will be treated equally then no one can stop the nation to become powerful .Respect is not a luxury or a favor that you offer to a girl. It is the bare minimum that she deserves and expects.
When girls are educated, their countries become stronger and more prosperous.”
This is quoted by Michelle Obama.
Every woman is a mother, sister or a wife. She plays a role of a multitasker at every step of her life. Can it be love and care, warrior or protector of her children or a husband.
As per Hindu mythology, Lord Shiva gained power from Goddess Parvati who was named ShivaShakti.
There are various other examples as well.
When Maharaja Raj Singh I (1653–1680) of Mewar called his commander to join the battle against Aurangzeb, the commander, having married only a few days earlier hesitated about doing so. Perceptions of Rajput honor caused him to join the battle despite his reservations. He asked his wife, Hadi Rani, for some memento to take with him to the battlefield.
Thinking that she was an obstacle to his doing his duty for Mewar, she cut off her head and put it on a plate. A servant covered it with a cloth and presented it to her husband. Devastated but nevertheless proud, the commander tied the memento around his neck by its hair. He fought bravely, making the Aurangzeb forces flee, and after his victory, he got to his knees and cut his neck, having lost the desire to live .
(Hadi Rani was the queen of Rajasthan in India. She was a daughter of a Hada Chauhan Rajput married to a Chundawat chieftain of Salumbar in Mewar who sacrificed herself to motivate her husband to go to war.)
When God created Adam, he decided to create Eve for Adam, in order to grow the concept of family on mother Earth. Else there would not have been the existence of mankind.
See again, Earth is also named as our mother as she is the one who allows us to live on it.
It is wisely said, “ God could not place himself everywhere, so he made mother”.
I would like to end this with few lines
With three jobs and five kids she struggled to get by
So she worked
And cooked
And cleaned
And Ate ,sometime
Every night she dreamed of leaving but every day she stayed
I guess what they say is true there are some things men can do which a woman just cant . I would like to end this with few lines
