Charisma - a wand of leadership

When we think, speak of leadership, an abiding presence of certain qualitative attributes in a person comes to our mind, perception. This is a state of forbearing attitude which is discerned in the person. These qualities which are possessed by the person are inherently compact and concomitant. This is the charisma, an extraordinary power which is remarkably innate,exceptional. This power, faculty which belongs to the person inborn provides, arms him with a magic wand to swing, sway the masses, the nameless unnumbered millions, rank and file followers and other leaders as well. The leadership spells out the objective approach, philosophy of life directed towards humankind, humanity for its wellness as a whole. The person who is blessed and bestowed with an outstanding capacity, faculty of mental, moral, ethical, aesthetic, psychical and spiritual strength becomes the undisputed leader of the society. He can think, perceive, comprehend, contemplate and act far ahead of all others. This person possesses extraordinary foresight, amazing power of diligence with which he can will freely, enlighten, reason, ratiocinate and guide the society to the right path, proper destination. He can foresee which is yet unborn. He is in reality a veritable visionary. He is in essence many in one and a host in himself. In human society there is no dearth of leadership. But what we desiderate is the quality leadership. As a matter of fact, leaders of all hues abound in the society. But what's about their efficacy?

Do all of them deserve to be addressed as leaders of the society? Are they really fit to be the standard bearers who can arouse unflinching confidence in the minds of the people and unquestioned loyalty from the rank and file?.Can they inspire each and every inmate of the society for any cause? Are the people of the society ever at their beak and call? Or else are all the people ready to sacrifice their life at their clarion call for service or any cause of the country. This brand of leaders has long receded into oblivion. But the present-day leaders have little mass appeal. They cannot generate any mass upsurge or any hysteria of emotion in the mind, spirit and spontaneity of people. Consequently, ordinary people think thousand times brfore plunging into the vortex. People are now no more following these leaders blindly. They are at present not going to sacrifice their life on the gallows. None is now greeting the altar and abattoir for any cause of the country under this type of leadership. People don't believe these so-called leaders of the society.

In reality these leaders are the pied-pipers of the dream-land. They misguide, mislead to immeasurably hopeless, wretched situation. People are led astray by these class of leaders. They basically masquerade as good Samaritans. Behind the papier-mache mask of these leaders, there lurks the seamy side of life and existence.Their inherent intent, inclination is to maraud, plunder. They surreptitiously conceal their ulterior motive to have the axe to grind. They are always ever eager for the crumbs of the loaves and fishes.They are the ogres of the society,Their mind and mentality are laced with filth, dirt, odium and evils. Society does not want to see this type of leaders. People love and revere those persons who can lead fearlessly, relentlessly for the cause of the society.People's leaders should be versatile, visionary, possess granite will, outstanding intellectual acumen, faculty of sharp reasoning, unending capacity to withstand stress, strain and pressure of any eventuality, situation and condition. The sense of selflessness, generosity, compassion, loving kindness and love for the society must abide in them. A leader is a unique unparalled personality without any condemnable blemish. In a word, the leader should be the Numero Uno of the country.
